Vesna was born in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia and came to Canada soon after where she grew up in Northwestern BC. After obtaining a Biology degree at the University of Victoria she returned to the North to work as a Fisheries Biologist. Since meeting her husband Jake, her dream of making movies has become a reality. Since the creation of IP, three years ago, Vesna and Jake have completed a diverse range of projects including: feature length documentaries, shorts, web videos and client customized DVDs. As a filmmaker Vesna hopes to inspire, educate and expand the viewers mind.
Currently IP has a few projects on the go...we are filming a ski comedy in partnership with Faceshot Productions on location in Whistler/Blackcomb. The second project is more personal for me as I am working on blending together old and new footage of my brothers journey from the darkness into the light. Stay Tuned Everyone! |

Jake was born and raised in Alaska and became interested in filmmaking in order to capture skiing in mountains of Alaska. As a filmmaker Jake wants the audience to experience the passion and excitment he feels while in the mountains. He creates movies that show what people DO in the mountains as well as raise awareness about the state of the wilderness itself. With the creation of Interesting Productions, Vesna and Jake have given themselves a platform to raise issues on subjects ranging from sports to politics to the environment.
Jake has published a book about growing up skiing in Alaska and is actively pursuing contracts in the ski industry as a professional athlete, filmmaker and ski builder. |
